Lever Pad

A Lever Pad door handle made of upvc functions differently than lever handles that are found on the majority of doors. These handles are operated by a single spindle or by two spindles, inline or offset. They are typically used on UPVC double-glazed doors and are available in a variety of variations and styles.

The handles have been tested to a minimum of 200k cycles and are available in several finishes like white window handles and Silver, as well as Chrome & Gold. The finish is compliant with BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, giving the handle a high degree of durability and performance for the intended use.

There are cylinders that are constructed to withstand snapping. This is a common attack on cylinders. A specially designed tool is used to break the break line of the lock, and then the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is much quicker and more straightforward than opening the door with multipoint locks and leaves little evidence of a break-in, which can hinder an insurance claim.

Spring Cassette

The spring cassette is located inside the base of the door handle backplate, providing a spring solution that returns your multipoint lock handles to their normal position after use. The handles had no spring, and would slide when the locking mechanism was removed. This simple part is the most effective way to address this issue. It also prevents your door from getting stuck in the closed or open position as they are difficult to close manually.

These spring cassettes are specifically designed for use with multipoint locks that are sprung They will not work with unsprung multipoint handles and you will require a hole specifically cut in your backplate to allow these to fit (please see image for technical diagram). These cassettes are a solution for damaged or missing cassettes that are in the backplate of uPVC door handles. They are supplied in one unit. They come with a square cut out that accommodates an 8mm shaft.
