1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest model in Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model is dry and wet. It includes the updated AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system Ecovacs, which gives improved mapping and obstruction avoidance. The system is dual-laser LiDAR -- similar to what is used in self-driving cars -- and can scan an area of up to 32 feet in 270 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, faster response time, and greater cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille fabric. This makes it easier to scrub hard areas than traditional mopping. During my tests, the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and got to work. I noticed that it was more precise than other models, which seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was adept at navigating my rooms' corners and edges, as well as make a "Zambani pattern" up and down the center of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station regularly to empty the dustbin and wash the mop with hot water, before starting another task of cleaning.

The X2 Omni performed impressively during my tests, scoring excellent scores for cleaning pet hair and debris cleaning and close to perfect results in edge and crevice cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

The ECOVACS T10 Omni is a powerful mopping and vacuum cleaner. It is the most advanced of the T-line offered by the company and features the brand new OZMO Turbo2.0 mopping system, which utilizes a dual-spinning brush for superior cleaning than traditional scrubbing. It also comes with YIKO integrated, a first-of-its kind natural language processing technology that can respond to a wide range of voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you design your home, create cleaning schedules, and alter settings.

The biggest issue with the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch between mopping and vacuuming in a single operation. The T10 Omni has two modes that require you to attach mop heads and take them off depending on your requirements. This is fine for the majority of households, but not for those with busy lives.

The Deebot T10 is a great robot vacuum that gives impressive results. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the particles we tossed at it our hardwood floors and floors, which is a remarkable performance. It also did an excellent job on carpet and tile, removing over 99percent of dirt and other debris.

This robot vacuum and mops has an extensive docking system that allows for automatic cleaning with cool water for the mop pads. It also features an auto-emptying 3L bag that is easy to replace and hot air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also comes with a large tank of water that allows it to be rinsed and dried more often between mopping sessions.

As with other mopping robots such as the Deebot T10, this one features a wash tray in its base that cleans and dries the mop pads as it uses them. It doesn't have a tray that can be removed, which means that dirt, dust and other grime can slowly build up in the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 Hybrid

While the Anker-owned Eufy is well known in the world of robot vacuums This model is the first foray into the world of mopping. It features improved intelligence with multiple map support, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that adjusts automatically to the floor you're cleaning. It's a mid-range cleaner that's appealing, even if its claim of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning doesn't come true.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be an ordinary robotic cleaner from the top. It has a circular shape with sweeper wheels and a raised sensor area. Turn it upside down, however, and you'll find a motorised floor brush plus a single side sweeper which pushes dirt from the edges of the machine into the main path of the robot's 'mouth'. It's a little smaller than the main brushes on the rival iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to get under sofas and chairs.

Its mapping system allows you to set up no-mop areas and specific cleaning zones. It has a habit of bumping into things such as its charging station, and isn't the best at climbing over carpets. It did a great job of removing pet hair on floors that were not paved However, in our tests, it took in 89.5 percent of cat litter, which is higher than all but the most powerful robots we've examined.

Although it's controlled through the app it's also controllable via the app. X8 Hybrid also comes with physical buttons on its base, which let you select the cleaning mode and turn the robot off and on. These buttons can be used to create areas that aren't allowed to enter and look up maps in real-time. It's also a little chatty and will inform you of what it's going to do next (start cleaning) or notify you when something isn't right.

The X2 Omni is a great option for homes with large spaces that have a mixture of hard and carpet flooring. However, it will need some planning in advance to avoid getting caught on toys, power cables, or other unexpected obstructions.

In our tests of hardwood floors and kibble, this robot performed well and was able to pick up everything from a single grain of rice up to many pieces of dog food in just one sweep. It did have some issues with rugs, but in general the vacuum cleaner is perfect for large rooms that contain floors of different types as well as a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is expensive, but it's a great purchase for those who want to to leave the house without hands so that they can get out and do other things or do chores. The A4s Pro also offers a useful auto-cleaning mode that automatically increases suction power to deal with difficult spills and dirt, and it comes with batteries that power the ElectroWall that allows you to set boundaries that the robot isn't permitted to access.

This budget-friendly choice from a popular upstart brand is the most affordable robot we've ever tested and provides an exceptional value for the price. Its basic navigation system is based on a very basic random pathing algorithm and it's not able to map rooms. This makes it less efficient than the other models on this list. It's still able to get under furniture and into the corners. Mopping mode was very effective in our tests by picking up hairs and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ might not be as sturdy, but it is better at cleaning pet hair from all surfaces. It clears bare floors more thoroughly and does a good job on carpets with low pile, and it utilizes 3-in-1 Smart Robot Vacuum Perfect for Pet Owners-pathing navigational technology to provide greater maneuverability. It can be directed to a specific area, and has a suite of advanced automation features, including no-go zones and schedules. It allows you to suspend and restart cleaning sessions making it ideal for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll prevents the tangles caused by pet hair and other debris and its self-emptying bagless dock station can store up to 30 days worth of dirt before it needs to be cleaned. It also has an array of side brushes that are angled to penetrate into corners and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander, and allergens to ensure a healthier air.

This robot vacuum feels solid and well-built, and it has a smartphone app that enables you to change the settings for your vacuum and plan cleaning times in advance. The app lets you check the remaining battery life of the iQ and also receive push notifications when it encounters any issues during a cleaning session. You can utilize your voice to control it with an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device, and if you don't have either of those devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary strips.

The iQ is great for cleaning floors that aren't clean and is able to do well on carpets that are sagging and low-pile. However, it doesn't offer the same level of autonomy as our top selections. It is also expensive and the cost of recurring use can add up.
