This is the top model of Roomba. It has all the bells, whistles, and features. It is equipped with a state-of-the-art AeroForce cleaning system that provides twice the suction power of other models. It can easily clean pet fur, lint, and dirt, as well mold spores, large chunks of debris.

It's smarter and intelligent than older Roomba model thanks to better mapping technology. It also has more roborock s7 max ultra: advanced robot vacuum cleaner memory. It can also be operated remotely via the iRobot HOME app.

One flaw, however, is that the 980 doesn't come with a display or manual control. This is a major disadvantage for a vacuum that depends so heavily on its smart capabilities. Its competitors, such as Neato's Botvac Connected or LG's RoboKing range, provide greater control options.

iRobot Roomba 990

This is one of the most powerful robot vacuums that we tested in our tests and a very popular option. It's excellent at cleaning carpets and hardwood floors. It also picks up pet hair, crumbs, and dirt. In fact it's Power Boost mode automatically increases suction to help get those tangled rugs out of hiding.

The iRobot App lets you control the Roomba remotely to schedule cleaning times, and even create virtual barriers to prevent it from entering areas you don't wish it to. It can even recognize and navigate stairs and is able to return to the docking station to recharge when it runs out of power. This model, unlike previous Roomba models can remember the location it left and restart a clean that was previously completed. It also runs in straight lines, thereby increasing the effectiveness of its coverage.

Roomba 960S from iRobot

iRobot’s latest robot vacuum can quickly and easily remove dirt from carpeted surfaces as well as hard flooring. It's among the smarter robots we've tested, because of its mapping capabilities and ability to pick up the place it left off following the full charge (which reduces the irritation caused by Roomba's random navigation).

Multiple sensors and a digital camera make this one of the most flexible vacuums we've ever seen. It can set up a consistent path around your home, remember it, avoid obstacles and even detect the presence of ledges.

Setup is easy through the iRobot application, which makes it simple to schedule cleanings and alter your robot's behavior. The Roomba 980's squat, brownish black looks pretty much like every other robot vacuum on the market (that's not an issue). It comes with the usual features, like an omnidirectional brush that helps clean edges and corners. It also includes two virtual wall barriers which help it navigate a space.

The robot is updated with navigation and mapping abilities that allow it build an image while it cleans. This lets the robot determine when a room has been cleaned and then move on to the next.

It's easy to set up a cleaning schedule using the app and remotely control the cleaning machine while away from home. It did well in our tests of pet hair and picked up 0.2 grams on midpile and low-pile carpets and hardwood. It was able to fit under our sofas, and the space was smaller than any other model we've tried.

iRobot Roomba 960XP

The powerful suction of this robot, HEPA filter, and two-hour battery life make it one of the top choices for those with serious cleaning needs. It has discarded the nickel metal hydroide battery of past models in favor of a lithium ion model which will last longer in cleaning sessions and between charges.

IRobot's CarpetBoost feature automatically boosts the power of the brush for difficult spots. It can also make two passes of cleaning instead of the default single-pass. The virtual walls can be used to block off areas you would like to keep clean.

WiFi and app support is standard and you can schedule a scheduled cleaning or schedule other options such as a spot cleaning cycle. However, the tiny display could be difficult for family members with no smartphones to access. It's also a bit more expensive than the majority of robots with similar features.

iRobot Roomba 960XL

The top-of-the-line robot from iRobot is available for around PS900. It includes CarpetBoost which gives it amazing cleaning power. This is the most powerful and intelligent Roomba ever created. It does an amazing job on both carpets and hard floors.

It uses vision sensors to perform VSLAM (Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping). This allows it to locate landmarks like chairs, shelves and beds and it builds a map of the area so it can keep track of where it is.

It also uses cameras to detect dirt spots and increase suction power in these areas. It can be started by opening the app while working and it will vacuum mop for pet hair, clean up and dock itself automatically once completed. It's also excellent in removing pet hair. In our tests, it collected 0.2 inches of hardwood, midpile, and low-pile.

10. iRobot Roomba 980XL

The 980XL is a top robot, and its additional features are worth the cost. It is more sophisticated in mapping technology than the 900 series, and it is cleaner on hard and carpeted flooring, and it is able to start it remotely.

It also features a powerful cleaning system which includes a ten-fold increase in suction power when compared to the older Roombas. A dual-swivel brush can be used to reach corners and under furniture. It even has the ability to automatically mop your floors after it has vacuumed.

The carpet boost can be a bit loud. It was measured at 80 dB which is the same as a prop-driven plane flying through the air. Luckily, it is possible to use an electronic barrier to keep it from sensitive areas like the dog's water bowl and food bowls.
