iRobot Combo Review

Combo is the first mop-and-vacuum robot, and it's the most stylish model from the company. Its brushed aluminum top piece and iRobot logo are more sophisticated than the loud designs of rivals.

The iRobot Home application is used to guide and configure your robot. The app tracks usage data and maps of your home, which include obstacles and furniture. Maps and images are only shared with iRobot if you opt-in.

It's a mop

It's a fantastic vacuum cleaner and has no trouble crossing over large areas of carpet or transition strips between flooring surfaces. It is able to pick up fine dust that other robotic vacuums miss. However, it's not well at mow. It's not able to eliminate dried milk stains, for instance unless you send it out four or five times.

It's a vacuum

It's among the more attractive robot vacuums. The top of the piece is smooth and doesn't display dust or fingerprints as easily as some competitors. Its tiny dustbin and water tank are easy to close and open, although they're not the most efficient in terms of capacity. The Combo j7+ has all the features you'd expect from iRobot. It has maps and obstacle avoidance maps that function effectively and swiftly. But it's the mopping arm that really makes this a standout model in its class. The mop pad is kept on top of the robot vacuum. However, if it detects a surface which needs mopping, the pad is lowered underneath and behind the robotic vacuum. This is a significant improvement from other robot vacuums that require you to manually remove the mop pad to clean hard floors and carpets, or even turn the entire machine off to mop.

It's a charging station

Place your Combo irobot price on the charging station, and then align the metal contacts on the base. The charging station is reliable and is simple to set up. In my tests it took about a couple of minutes for the robot to start charging and make a sound when it was completed. Once the Combo robot is charged, you can begin an exploration run in the app to help the robot comprehend your home. The app allows you to mark certain objects as permanent avoidances, such as lamp cords. You can also connect your robot to Alexa or Google Assistant, so you can use voice commands to direct it around your home.

It's a smart device
