Line-up

Turn Back, the band's third studio album is an attempt to return to the traditional sextet style, and a more consistent, stronger effort that had a more grittier edge. The more edgier sound of Turn Back reflected the development of the group. The drummer Bobby Kimball's increasing virtuosity was reflected by the vocal delivery of Joseph Williams, who had become more confident and mature.
