After a series of social media posts that hint at it, Italian supercar-maker Lamborghini has finally announced its first NFT (non-fungible token) project. Space Key is being developed in collaboration with an unidentified artist and based upon advanced carbon fiber composite materials that were shipped to the International Space Station as research material, is a project that has been announced by Lamborghini.

The new project - called the Space Key - is a piece of art made in collaboration with a lone artist. The unique NFT is a physical object which connects to a unique digital artwork accessible through a QR code that is located on the back. The project is limited to five pieces and will be auctioned off in the coming weeks.

After numerous social media posts that teased some kind of space-themed item, the Italian supercar maker Lamborghini introduced the world of non-fungible (NFT) tokens with an exclusive project named Space Key. The NFT was developed in collaboration with an unknown artist and will be auctioned off in just a few weeks. It is a piece made of carbon fiber composite material that was sent to the International Space Station (ISS) in 2019 as part of an investigation project. The carbon fiber has been 3D printed to form the base of each Space Key, which is linked with an exclusive, entirely digital artwork through an QR code on its backside. Only five Space Keys were produced.

NFTs are unique identifiers that can be stored on distributed ledgers, such as the Blockchain and tied to digital assets such as images. They're the latest trend among those with more money than, so it was only a matter of time until an automaker decided to cash in on the trend.

Space Key consists of five units. The components were built using a physical piece of the carbon fiber composite, which was sent to the ISS in 2019. Each NFT will be linked with an exclusive digital artwork by the same artist by using QR codes on the back of the carbon fiber element. The digital artwork

After weeks of social-media posts hinting at it, the luxury automobile maker Lamborghini finally announced its first project involving non-fungible tokens (NFT). The Space Key is a collection of five physical items which unlocks a unique digital artwork by a yet to be identified artist. The collectors' item was developed in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm) and is limited to only five units. It will be auctioned soon.

Each Space Key contains a block composed of a carbon-fire composite material. It was shipped to the International Space Station as part of a 2019 research project. After returning to Earth the space key was made into the QR code which links it to the digital component of the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys will feature a separate moment that occurs seconds apart as the Lamborghini Ultimae lifts off toward the stars. Over 600 million pixels each of the five images which were captured by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner used an inflatable camera equipped with a lens to capture individual images, which were then put together into the final image. The result is a picture that is completely out of the world. It captures the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic view of a car rising away from the Earth. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned soon, but there's no precise date or location yet.

The auction
