NFTs for those not familiar are unique identifiers that are stored on a distributed ledger of the blockchain and connected to digital assets, such as a photo, video, song or other recording. This allows owners to guarantee authenticity and scarcity as well as trackability of their tokens over the internet.

After several weeks of social media posts that hinted at it, luxury automobile manufacturer Lamborghini has finally revealed its first non-fungible token (NFT) project. Called the Space petron key to lamborghini, it consists of five items that unlock an exclusive digital artwork NFT by an artist yet to be identified. The 'collectors piece' was developed in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm) and is limited to only five units. It is scheduled to be auctioned in the near future.

Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that takes place at different times as the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. More than 600 million pixels make up each of the five images which were shot by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner utilized a balloon with a camera, which took each of the individual shots, which were then merged into the final image. The result is a picture that is out of this world. It captures both the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic image of a lambo car key rising from the Earth. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned off soon, but there is no specific date or time yet.
