She noted that it was solid to push and very solid on difficult terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable and require occasional pumping) have suspension built-in which was extremely comfortable for my kids.

The size and shape of the seat is a further factor to think about. The seat should be large enough for your child to feel comfortable and to allow them to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies offer a full lie-flat option while others only allow for the parent to be facing one.

A great option for those who want to tackle off-road or muddy walks is the Roma Atlas. Many three wheeled buggies have the front wheels that swivel to assist you in maneuvering around tight corners, while others are designed for running and come with fixed front wheels that lock to improve the speed and stability at which they can be pushed. This also helps if you bump into the roots of a tree or stray road, as the front wheel will lift up slightly to prevent you from hitting it.

A lot of 3 wheeled pushchairs come with air-filled tyres which allow them to tackle a broad range of terrains. They are also more flexible than 4 wheelers. They are also lighter. However, they're susceptible to punctures so you'll need to keep a repair kit, spare inner tube and pump handy.

Buggies with larger wheels may be quite wide, and may struggle to fit into tight spaces. This is an issue when you're using it for a jogger or you need to to get through doorways that are narrow when you're out and about. Fortunately, many models come with small folding options that allow you to take off the front wheels to make compact storage.

Easy to manoeuvre

A three wheeler pushchair-wheeled buggy is more maneuverable for a child. The way they are built ensures that the front wheels turn on a dime and are incredibly maneuverable and are ideal for tricky terrain like cobbles, parks, bumpy pavements and dirt tracks.

MFM reviewer Kath tried an all terrain 3 wheel stroller-wheeler with her toddler. she said: "The Terrain is a pleasure to drive on rough terrain. The front swivel wheel was particularly helpful." I was also impressed by how well it coped with kerbs, especially when using the hand-operated brake. I found it to be extremely steady when I was driving downhill or over uneven terrain."

The only drawback to this incredible maneuverability is that the larger wheels of a 3 wheel buggy might make it difficult to fit into tight spaces. This is something you should keep in mind when you live in one of the cities. If this is a problem then a four-wheeled buggy might be the better option for you.
