Features

It's costly -- even when you don't purchase the bundle that includes the base -however, it's very efficient and provides plenty of flexibility. It can schedule cleanings by room or even remotely begin it when you're away. It comes with a feature that lets it employ a grid to clean in a straight lines along the width and long of an area. This helps ensure that you get rid of all the dust and debris.

The base also houses a huge dust bin. It's less likely that it will fill up before it needs to be emptied. It's also bagless that means you'll be able to save money on bags for replacement. It's also easy to take it off and empty, making it not a big hassle when it's time for an upgrade.

It was a great device that left my floors looking amazing. Its mops are strong enough to leave my floors feeling luxuriously soft after they're finished. And the vac's vacuuming performance was as good, as if not better than the standalone models I've tried.

Its mapping also worked well. I utilized the app to edit a map of my home as well as creating no-go zones, and marking areas as carpeted. While it took a while to complete, the map was accurate and the robot avoided carpeted areas when I wanted it to do mopping.

Its mopping performance on low-pile carpet is not as good and it is unable to get a good time dealing with large particles like sand. The mops are also not able to remove tough stains, and must be manually refilled.

In our tests, the robot had some issues mapping its home. It would occasionally skip rooms or go over the same area multiple times. This was especially problematic on dark floors. Eventually it was able complete the map, and the app allowed us to set up no-mop zones, scheduling, and other settings. Its LIDAR sensor also assisted to navigate the home and avoid obstacles with a high degree of precision. This navigation system was far superior to the Shark ION Robot RV700 Series which features a less intuitive interface and doesn't support areas that are not allowed to be in. The app is simple to use and provides an array of smart cleaning modes including energy-saving Eco mode and an Efficient Shark ION Robot Vacuum: Smart Navigation Max mode. The recurring costs, however, can mount up quickly, due to the addition of mopping pads, replacement filters and maintenance costs.
