Ease of Use

Powerful Suction

This robot can clean your floors in one sweep. It does a good job of removing pet hair and other debris but it can't perform very well on dense carpets. It also does a fantastic job of defining its coverage area and avoiding low obstacles. It's a bit louder than other robot vacuums, however, it's normal for such a powerful device.

It is powered by a long-lasting battery, and is controlled by the SharkClean App or by voice commands, if you have an intelligent speaker like Alexa or Google Assistant. The app lets you see the remaining battery life of the robot and lets you set different cleaning modes and set a schedule to clean your home. You can also create virtual boundaries to prevent it from entering rooms where it could get stuck or fall over the fragile object.

The Shark AI Robot has a solid construction and is easy to install straight out of the box. Its body is a mix of matte and glossy plastic, and has wheels and front bumpers made of rubber. Its oblong shape permits it to fit a water tank and tall LIDAR mapping sensor. It doesn't require any major assembly out of the box except for snapping the side brushes in place. It's easier to assemble compared to other models which require more components and work. It's heavier however, at almost 18 pounds.

Smart Navigation

The Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 comes with a variety of automated features. This includes an app that allows you to check the status of your mop and vacuum as well as receive push notifications. You can also to pause or resume cleaning, or control it via voice commands if you are using Amazon Alexa or Google Home. However, the Shark AI Ultra is an excellent robot mop and vacuum for most people. It does a superb job cleaning pet hair from bare floors and can clean the room several times before it needs to recharge. It comes with two mopping pad which you can wash between use.

Its navigation system isn't perfect, especially when navigating around furniture or other obstacles. It also leaves behind dirty spots. However, the robot vacuum and mop can do a great job clearing these areas when it's in Eco mode that is designed to reduce the use of power.

Its battery life is also excellent, reaching around 90 minutes in our tests.
