Amazon Cancels iRobot Deals

Amazon has canceled its planned acquisition of Roomba maker iRobot. The company claimed that the deal had to overcome "undue regulatory obstacles." Amazon will pay iRobot the breakup cost of $94 million.

The move came after the European Commission, the EU's executive arm and its top antitrust enforcer, announced that it had an "preliminary opinion" that the acquisition would harm competition.
