If you are looking for an unassuming robot vacuum that doesn't have the smart features of other models, this one is a great choice. It was a success in getting rid of pet hair, Cheerios and kitty litter on hardwood floors.

It maps rooms quickly and provides solid obstacle avoidance. It can be controlled by hand via the included remote.

The s9+ is the most effective robot vacuum we've tested for cleaning hard floors and carpeting. It has the strongest suction of any robotic cleaner on the market, and does an excellent job of removing pet hair. It can be programmed to make multiple passes or adjust suction levels based on the size of the room, which is a feature that we haven't seen in other models. Its app lets you customize the way it functions and decide when it begins working so you can be within the room while it's whirring away.

The smart mapping feature can create an accurate map of your home, which can assist the s9+ to navigate and plan efficient routes. It can also self-empty so you don't have to be there to help. It is also able to recharge itself in mid-clean. In our tests the s9+ was able to maneuver around obstacles like tables and power cables easily and never lost its charge or became stuck. It lacks the safety features of the latest models, and could get caught in tassels of rug and other obstructions it is unable to see.

The s9+ features a flat front, unlike most circular robots. It also has a squared-off face that makes it easier to reach corners than models with round fronts. The J7+ is among the most advanced robot cleaners available. It's equipped with iRobot Genius technology that gives it the ability to sense obstacles and maneuver around them, which means that you don't have to worry about it smacking into furniture or walls. It also slows down when it approaches an object so that it can gently scrub edges. This is especially useful for pet owners with small animals that leave a mess behind.

The j7+ also has the ability to mop and vacuum due to a mopsitter. If it senses that you're on a floor that needs to be mopped it switches to its standard cleaning mode and deploys an arm with a pad. It scrubbed the floor using a gentle touch leaving my floors looking and feeling like they'd been meticulously cleaned.

After cleaning the j7+ goes back to its dock and recharges. It then drives to the spot where it started, and continues cleaning. It runs for about 85 minutes in my home, plus or minus a few minutes. That's less than the s9+, but it's nonetheless impressive for a device that does both vacuuming and mopping.

The j7+, like other iRobot vacuum cleaners, is able to avoid obstacles and detects them. It also features what iRobot calls Cliff Detect technology, which keeps it from taking a tumble down the stairs. It's a great security feature for families.

The onboard bin of the j7+ is small, which means you'll have to return it to the dock to empty it regularly in the event that your home is big. However the j7+ is easy to store. The Clean Base, which comes with it, serves as charging dock, an external dust bin, and an internal one for the j7+ to place dirt into.

The Shark IQ is compatible with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant and allows you to control it with your voice. The app lets you identify your robot Vacuum Mops (mine's Sharky Shark), program and remotely run its runs, view your cleaning history, and receive alerts about errors. You can also create a map of your home and manually define no-go zones.

The Shark iQ costs more than the iRobot Roomba j7+ but has superior mapping and app features, as well as superior performance on all surfaces. It also charges more quickly and gets caught on rug tassels less frequently, which decreases the cost of recurring repairs. Unfortunately, this model cannot stay away from areas that have pet bowls or furniture, and you must use physical boundary strips to keep it from certain objects.

This vacuum comes with several features that make it convenient including Dirt Detect, which focuses more time cleaning areas that are heavily soiled. It can be set to clean at certain time intervals and also has an app that allows remote control.

The Roomba 694 from iRobot isn't as sophisticated as the i7, which can self-empty its own trash compartment, and it doesn't have a mapping system or the capability to create virtual boundary markers. It's still a bit more robust and is less expensive than the less expensive RoboVac G30, has a bigger dust bin, is charged more quickly, can maneuver around obstructions such as electrical cords better, and performs better on floors that are bare and low-pile carpet than the iRobot Roomba 614.

5. Eufy 11s

The Eufy 11s is an incredibly small, attractive robot vacuum that offers an excellent value for the money. It sucks pet hair well and has a huge dirt compartment and can last for a long period on a single charge. It's not easy to maintain and has issues with navigation. It doesn't have an app companion to it and voice control, but it does have an easy-to-use remote. It also doesn't send you a notification when the dust box is full, so you'll have to check it frequently.

The eufy has many advantages over the bObsweep Bob Pro however in certain areas it's not as efficient as the iRobot Roomba 694. The iRobot is better-built, uses less parts that require regular maintenance, has a HEPA filter, lasts longer on a single charge and provides better cleaning performance on carpeted floors as well as low- and high-pile carpet. It also features a better navigation system which can navigate through obstacles, and includes advanced automation features, such as boundary stripes.

The iRobot Roomba 900 Series is an ideal choice for the majority of users, though the eufy still makes an excellent choice. The iRobot Roomba 900 Series is easy to maintain, more durable and has a bigger dustbin and is more effective on all surfaces. It's also quicker to recharge and has a longer maximum battery life.

The eufy can be a better choice than the ILIFE A4s, however it's not as efficient as a premium robot like the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra. The iRobot is built better, has a larger dustbin and has lower ongoing costs. It also has a smarter navigation algorithm that can maneuver around obstacles and more advanced automation capabilities, like boundary strips. The iRobot also absorbs pet hair more effectively, and it's easier to maintain than the Eufy.
