Best iRobot Vacuums

This entry-level iRobot is a great option for those who want to save the price of a higher-end model. It is equipped with impressive navigation and obstacles-avoidance technologies, and offers app and voice control as well as scheduled cleaning.

1. Roomba S9+

Although I'm not so sure on the s9+'s'smart dirt sensor' (it's meant to identify areas that have high concentrations of debris and focus its cleaning power on those areas) or its quiet mode (which seems more like it's turned off than turned on) but its overall performance is unmatched by any other robot vacuum I've seen. It's also better at getting rid of pet hair than its nearest competitor which is the less expensive ONSON GOOVI robot F007.

2. Roomba J7+

The Roomba J7+ is a robot vacuum that comes with wet mopping capability. The j7+ utilizes advanced obstacle avoidance technology to help it navigate your home and clean floors without missing any areas. This feature is a new one that allows the Robot Vacuums iRobot to stay clear of obstacles like pet poop and other objects that could cause it to break or become stuck. This is a major improvement over previous models that could only overcome obstacles through chance or by a user-programmed route.

If you send the j7+ on a map mission via the app you can program it to create a smart map of your home. Once it has created a map the j7+ can remember and automatically navigate to that specific location for future cleaning tasks. You can also modify the map, label rooms, and create cleaning zones to alter the j7+'s navigation features. The j7+ is a powerful battery performer and can clean more than 100 minutes of cleaning on a single charge. It's quieter when it's cleaning carpet than hard flooring, however it produces less noise than the CDC says most people find irritating (about 60db).

The j7+, when fitted with a mopping attachment, can automatically switch between sweeping and mopping to ensure your floors are thoroughly cleaned. It features a powerful three-stage cleaning system with suction that is high-powered, edge-sweeping brushes which can be maneuvered around furniture and tight corners, as well as dual multi-surface rubber brushes that work well on various floor types. The j7+ is also excellent at removing pet hairs and debris off low-pile and bare floors.
