IRobot's Combo i5/i5+ robot vacuum and mop is engineered to clean your floors in one step. The 4-stage cleaning system it uses is more advanced than sweeping and vacuuming and removes dirt and microscopic particles to give you the cleanest floors possible.

The Combo i5/i5+ works with any Alexa-, Siri-, or Google Assistant enabled device1. You can begin, stop, or plan cleaning sessions with your voice. It can also detect the arrangement of your home and create an intelligent Map to make cleaning more efficient. The app allows you to create "Keep Out Zones" that prevent the robots from buzzing around specific areas, like the pile of cables or pet waste.

This Roomba's advanced navigation system is a combination of iRobot's top-ofthe-line Precision Vision navigation with a camera that can identify common objects and obstacles. The cameras enable it to avoid common obstacles, such as cords and shoes, socks, bags pet toys, backpacks and bags. It can then deploy custom-designed cleaning around these objects. The Combo i5/i5+ has the exclusive Dirt Detect Technology, which allows it to pay more attention on dirty areas.

One of the most impressive features of this robot is its auto-emptying Clean Base that can hold up to 60 days worth of waste and reduce the need for manual maintenance. It also features a recharge and resume ability that sends the robot back to its home base to charge its battery when it runs low, and it can pick up where it left off, without skipping any beat.

While the i5+ is a great robot for homes with a lot of space however, it's important to remember that it's not built for stairways or carpeted rooms. It has a limited capacity dustbin, so it won't clean your entire house if there is a lot of pet waste or debris. Consider the i7 and I9 models if your goal is a Roomba with more power to handle difficult environments. These robots are able to mop wet and are better equipped for stairs. The iRobot Combo i5/i5+, with its innovative design and cutting-edge technology is an ideal option for homes that require both a vacuum cleaner as well as a mop.

iRobot Roomba Combo i7

This model is a premium version that comes with high-end features and top-of-the-line performance that could entice buyers away from the vast majority of budget competitors. The most notable improvement is an integrated automatic dirt disposal system that eliminates the need to empty the dust bin after each clean. The i7+ also has persistent mapping which allows it to remember the design of your home and adapt to different floor plans instantly.

The combo irobot i7+ is easy to set up, with an easy-to-follow app walkthrough and clear on-screen instructions that guide you through the initial configuration and registration procedure. Once the robot has been registered it will be able to mop or vacuum using the iRobot HOME app, or Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant voice commands. The i7+ is also easy to program by allowing you to schedule cleaning sessions and set virtual boundaries for it to adhere to.

In our tests the i7+ performed very well, clambering over floor breaks and rugs with ease. It was also able to identify obstacles like furniture without difficulty, though it was unable to climb over a 2-inch marble slab which separated the kitchen and living areas. The edge cleaning capabilities were superior to the results we experienced from budget robot vacuums, with a good grip on corners.

When the i7+ reaches the capacity of its dustbin it returns to its Clean Base, empties the contents and prepares itself for the next clean. When it's time to add cleaning fluid, you simply press a button on the side of the robot and the small water tank/dustbin combo clips open.

The only issue is that the Clean Base occupies a lot of space. This makes it difficult to put the i7+ into the cupboard when it's not being used. However this is a typical issue with robots cleaning and most manufacturers provide smaller charging stations that are more compact. These stations are also usually placed under cabinets, making it easier for you to hide the iRobot when it is not in use. iRobot has reached out to us following publication to clarify that the Combo i7+ is designed to be used only with the manufacturer-approved cleaning solution (sold separately). It is not recommended to use water since it can cause damage to internal components and decrease performance.

iRobot Roomba Combo i9

The robot vacuums and mops at the same time. It uses its stainless steel arm with dual arms to grab dirt as it moves. It also lowers its mop pad when it sees carpets to prevent getting the rug wet which is a great feature. This feature, which is called Dry Rug Intelligence by iRobot, worked well in my testing and was a major improvement over the earlier Roomba models that could only vacuum or mop without switching modes.

The irobot self empty app lets you create a cleaning schedule and access history and status updates. The app also houses "robot health" information, including how much longer you can anticipate your iRobot to run before it will need new filters or a new mopping pad. There are also detailed instructions, troubleshooting suggestions, and advanced settings for adjusting the mopping water level and the number of mopping passes per floor, and much more.

The new navigation system from Irobot price helps the i8 map its way around your home, and it can get around obstacles like power cords easily. The navigation system is also able to adjust its cleaning route according to the different floors. However, if you have an enormous home, it may require several runs to finish its mapping process.

Another advantage of this robot is that it works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. You can control it using your voice. This is a fantastic feature for busy people. This feature is extremely beneficial for those who clean their homes regularly and efficiently.

The iRobot i8 is able to connect with smart home devices and can also work with the iBraava Jet M6, a mop that is set to automatically begin sweeping when the i8 has finished vacuuming. The i8 comes with a Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System and an additional HEPA filter.

This is iRobot’s latest flagship vacuum, and their best yet. It has a bigger dust bin, is able to move more easily over rugs, and can detect more dirt on all floor types. The i9 is also able to recognize different rooms and modify its cleaning schedule automatically. This makes it more efficient than earlier models. The i9 also has more advanced mopping features, such as spot mopping and deep cleaning.

The Roomba i9+ robot vacuum and mop is one the most versatile options available, providing top-rated cleaning on carpets and floors. It is also one of the most intelligent robots on the market as it keeps track of the map of your home as it cleans and will return to the same spot to complete any future tasks. SmartScrub is the best in class for getting rid of dirt that is deep-seated, pet hair and other debris. Dirt Detective, a new feature, is able to identify and prioritize areas that require more attention. The Clean Base auto-filler keeps your robot's dustbin and water tank full, ensuring that it never runs out.

The i9+ is also a fantastic job of cleaning up pet messes, with the only caveat being that it might miss a few if you have particularly deep litter boxes (we've seen this issue on other robots too). It's also fantastic at picking up pet mess however it could miss some if your litter box is very deep (we've experienced the same issue with other robots). The i9+ also is one of our favorites for cleaning bare floor surfaces. It's effective in removing various debris, without leaving streaks unlike some competitors.

This includes the i7+'s impressive performance, and the D-shaped design that improves its ability to navigate around corners and edges. The software is able to be updated and allows users to transfer maps from an existing device or add new ones when needed.

Its interface is easy to navigate and the i9+'s app offers numerous features to help you manage your device and schedules. It shows a helpful diagram that changes based on whether your robot is ready to go on a charge, or is working. You can also view the details of your room map, and draw a line on it in case you want to highlight specific areas. The app also allows you to set up a timer for vacuuming, and to manually choose which rooms your robot is required to clean.
