Lever Pad

The lever pad upvc handle differs from the lever handles that are found on most doors. The handle can operate from a single spindle (inline) or independently from each side by using two offset spindles or inline (pad). Previously a lot of handles did not have a spring integrated into them and without this they can droop or 'drop' once the locking mechanism is disengaged. The addition of this simple element is one of the best methods to correct this and it is also an excellent way to stop your doors made of upvc from becoming stuck in the open or closed position, as these aren't always simple to manually close by hand.

These spring cassettes have been specifically made for use with sprung multipoint locks They will not work with non-sprung multipoint handles. You will require a hole specifically cut in your backplate to allow these to fit (please look at the image for a technical diagram). They are a replacement for broken or missing cassettes within the backplates of door handles of many brands of uPVC doors. They are available as a single unit. They have a square-cut out that is able to accommodate an 8mm shaft.
