The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop set-up is the best solution for pets who shed fur. The machine can vacuum, mop and clean its own dual mop pad.

It also has 8,000Pa suction, the most of any robot that we've examined. It can also save your home's maps and create cleaning schedules through its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs line of robot vacuum mop hybrids. This model that is wet-dry is fitted with Ecovacs' new AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that offers better mapping and obstacles avoidance. The system is dual-laser LiDAR similar to the kind you'd find in self-driving cars -- and can scan up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. This translates to more accurate mapping, faster response time, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also comes with a rotating mopping mat constructed of chenille. This makes it much easier to scrub hard-to-clean spots than traditional mop. During my tests it was able to clean the X2 Omni washed its pad in less than a second and got to work. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models that seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was able navigate corners and edges of my rooms and also make "Zambani patterns" across the middle of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station regularly to empty the dustbin and clean the mop with hot water prior to beginning another clean-up job.

Like other Ecovacs products The X2 Omni is easy to set up and start using. Simply snap the dock into place then plug it in and pair it with your home WiFi network. It takes just about a minute. Then, you're able to launch the app and get started with your first task of cleaning. I was able customize my floor plan within 15 minutes. This included creating restricted areas for sweeping and mopping and rearranging the layout of wall-mounted furniture and more. The X2 Omni performed impressively during my tests, with excellent scores in debris removal and pet hair cleaning, as well as near-perfect results in crevice and edge cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you need a powerful combination of mopping and vacuuming, check out the EcoVACS Deebot T10 Omni. It is the most advanced of the T-line of the brand and comes with the latest OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brushes for more effective cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbing. It also has YIKO integrated, a first-of-its kind natural language processing technology that can respond to a variety of voice commands. You can make use of the ECOVACS app to map your home, set up cleaning schedules and adjust settings.

The main drawback of the T10 Omni is that it can't switch between mopping and vacuuming in one run. The T10 Omni comes with two modes that require you to attach mop heads and take them off depending on your requirements. This is great for the majority of households, but not so for those with busy lives.

The Deebot T10 is a great robot vacuum that produces impressive results. It vacuumed up more than 96% of the particles we tossed at it our hardwood flooring which is an impressive performance. It also did an excellent job on carpet and tile cleaning up more than 99percent of dirt and dust.

This robotic vacuum and mop has large docking stations that provides cool water cleaning for its mop pads, automatic emptying into a 3L disposable bag that's simple to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a large reservoir of water that allows it to be rinsed and dried more frequently between mopping sessions.

Like other mopping machines, the Deebot T10 Omni has a wash tray in its base that cleans and dry its mop pads as it utilizes them. But it doesn't use an open tray, meaning that dirty water dust, dirt, and other grime gradually build up on the bottom of the tray over time.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

While Anker's Eufy is well known in the world of robot vacuums, this model is its first foray into the world of mopping. It has enhanced intelligence and support for multiple maps, LIDAR scanning and twin-turbine technology that automatically adjusts to the type of surface you're cleaning. It's a tempting mid-range vacuum cleaner although it can't quite deliver on its promise to be the ultimate source for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a standard robotic vacuum cleaner from the top, with its circular shape, sweeping wheels and a raised space for sensors. However, flip it over you'll see a motorised floor brush plus one side sweeper brush that carries dirt from the edges of the machine into the main path of the Linsar Robot Vacuum: 2-in-1 with Powerful Suction's'mouth'. It's smaller than the main brushes on the rival iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to access under chairs and sofas.

Its mapping system allows you to set up no-mop areas and specific cleaning zones. However it tends to hit things (including its own charging dock) and isn't the best in climbing over rugs. It was capable of removing pet hair on bare floors, though, and in our tests it was able to pick up 89.5 percent of cat litter, which is higher than any of the most powerful robots we've examined.

Although it's controlled through the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with physical buttons on its base that allow you to select a cleaning mode and turn the robot off and on. Additionally, you can use these to set no-go zones as well as view real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty and will let you know what it's planning to do next (start cleaning) or alert you when something isn't right.

4. ILIFE A4s

This high-tech model can pick up pet hair, kibble and other messes with remarkable effectiveness. It can also move effortlessly around furniture legs. It has a feature set that is impressive, which includes two cleaning modes and an automatic docking station and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. It's Wi-Fi-connected and best controlled via the Neato app which allows cleaning to be scheduled and the overall maintenance requirements monitored. The X2 Omni is a great option for homes with large spaces that have a mixture of carpet and hard floors. However, it will need some planning in advance to avoid getting caught on electrical cables, toys or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

This robot was very successful during our tests on hardwood floors and food particles. It picked up everything, from a single rice grain to multiple pet food pieces in just one pass. It had some trouble with rugs but, generally speaking, this vacuum cleaner is perfect for rooms with different flooring types and a mix of pets.

It is a bit pricey however, if you are able to manage the price, it's an excellent buy for those who wish to be able to leave their homes hands-free to go about other tasks or to take care of chores. The A4s Pro also offers a handy auto cleaning mode that boosts suction power to handle tough spills and dirt and it comes with an electric ElectroWall that allows you to set boundaries that the robot isn't permitted to enter.

This budget-friendly robot from a renowned new brand is the cheapest we've tested and provides incredible value for money. Its basic navigation system uses an extremely basic random pathing algorithm and lacks room mapping capabilities, making it less efficient than other models on this list. However it's still able navigate under furniture and into corners and its mopping mode performed well in our testing, picking up stray pet hair and other debris easily.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ isn't as robust as the Roomba S9, but it is superior in general at getting rid of pet hair on all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning carpets with low piles and floors that are not covered. It also uses smart-pathing navigational software for greater mobility. It can be directed to a particular area and includes a variety of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It can even to pause and resume the cleaning process, so it's perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll helps prevent knots from pet hair and other debris, and its bagless self-emptying docking station can hold up to 30 days of dirt before it needs to be emptied. It also comes with a set of angled side brushes that go deep into corners, and its multi-stage filtration system captures dust, dander, and allergens to ensure a healthier air.

This robot vacuum mop pet hair vacuum feels solid and well-built, and it works with a smartphone app which lets you alter the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning times in advance. The app lets you see the iQ's remaining battery life and also receive notifications via push for any issues it encounters during its cleaning cycle. You can also control it using your voice using an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't have either of these devices you can mark out areas with physical boundary lines.

The iQ does a good job of removing bare flooring and doing a good job on shaggy and low-pile carpet, but it doesn't have the same degree of autonomy as our top choices. It's also costly and its monthly costs can increase.
